Bath Building Society Awarded Cyber Essentials Accreditation

As part of our ongoing commitment to adopting best practices, Bath Building Society has secured the Cyber Essentials standard.

The Cyber Essentials scheme is a standard created by the UK Government that assesses cybersecurity capabilities and standards of a business.

The scheme assesses the IT security controls that an organisation must have in place in order to have confidence that they are addressing cybersecurity effectively and mitigating the risk from Internet-based threats.

Kevin Gray, CEO at Bath Building Society said:  “This accreditation acknowledges the work we have put in place to protect the Society, its Members, customers and business partners.

Cyber-attacks continue to be a threat to the finance sector and as a trusted mutual organisation we take our role in protecting our Members accounts seriously.

This independently certified accreditation acknowledges the work we do to protect our systems as well as the process and policies we have in place for the future.”
