Free financial education resources for children.

Confidence is key when teaching financial education your children, and we understand that there may be topics you are not quite sure how to explain. That’s why we’ve worked with our financial education partner, WizeUp to provide online resources for you to share at home.
We believe there has never been a better time to sit down with your family and discuss money matters. So, whether you are talking to children about saving, budgeting, credit cards or student finance, there are plenty of invaluable resources to help. You can access free videos, factsheets, podcasts and quizzes by visiting the parents section on the WizeUp website.
The Society’s passion for financial education stems from our local financial education programme to help sixth form pupils feel more prepared for their forthcoming moves into work, college or University. Together with WizeUp we have been teaching them the basics of topics including tax, budgeting, saving and renting accommodation. To date our sponsorship has benefitted over 500 Bath sixth form students, including a successful online programme during 2020 when face to face workshops were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. We look forward to continuing our online programme and introducing our financial education workshops to more local schools in the coming months.
