We support borrowers who join the Homes for Ukraine scheme

Bath Building Society has pledged to support Mortgage customers who are accepted into the Government’s Homes for Ukraine scheme which enables homeowners across the UK to provide accommodation in their own home to refugees fleeing the war.
The Government has launched the scheme that enables UK homeowners to provide accommodation in their own home to refugees fleeing the war, including those with no family ties to the UK.
It is important that borrowers accepted as sponsors let their mortgage lender know of their plans once the joint visa application from the sponsor and refugee/refugees has been accepted and before the Ukranian national/s arrive at the property.
Kevin Gray, Bath Building Society’s CEO, said: “We are committed to supporting our borrowers who are accepted onto the Homes for Ukraine scheme to offer space in their home to Ukranian refugees. We will keep our consent process simple to ensure refugees can be settled as soon as possible.”
If your family budget is already squeezed, we ask that you think carefully before applying for this scheme and refer to the Money Helper website for free and impartial money guidance.
If you need to let us know that your joint visa application has been accepted, please contact our Mortgage Operations team.
