Bath Building Society supports local charity groups in Charity Awards 2021
Posted on 17th June 21
Eight charities and community groups from the local area are sharing £6,500 from Bath Building Society’s Annual Charity Awards scheme. A further three organisations have received a pair of Bath Building Society hot air balloon tickets which will be used to raise funds.
The Awards were established 15 years ago to support as many local initiatives as possible from the growing number of requests that the Society receives each week asking for support.
Kevin Gray, Chief Executive of the Society said:
“The Awards are very important to us and are a way for the Society to “give something back” to the local community. The work some of these organisations do and the local people they help on such little funding is amazing, I’m just glad we can help!
The number of applications increases year on year and this year is no different. I’d like to thank the Judges for spending their time to help choose the winners of this year’s Awards; Alan Keeling from The Rotary Club Bath, Angela Emms from The Quartet Community Foundation and my colleague Tiffany Hardie-Albutt. It was a tough competition, but we found our winners in the end!”
The judging was held virtually this year and there will be no cheque presentation due to ongoing COVID restrictions.
