How to use Bath Online

Bath Online allows you to open a new account and manage your Personal Savings account online. Here you’ll find the answers to some of the more popular questions our Members ask us – including what to do if you’ve forgotten your password – or contact the team for help at any time via live chat.

 

  • What do I need to have handy when registering for Bath Online?

    You will need the following information when registering for Bath Online:

    • Your Bath Building Society account number
    • Your mobile phone number (for authentication)
    • Your full name, address and postcode

     

     

  • How do I register to view my accounts via Bath Online?

    You can register and manage your account via this website. Click on the Bath Online link to get started by clicking ‘register’.

    Existing customers will be asked to confirm if they have already registered for the Mobile App.

    You will need to read the terms and conditions before clicking the check box to confirm you agree.

    Select ‘Personal Account’ on the Account Type Selection screen.

    Complete and confirm your personal details including your account number. If you have multiple accounts, please only enter one account number to register. Once registered, you will be able to view all your accounts.

    You will then receive a registration letter via email and post. This letter with contain your Unique ID. You will need to enter this to continue with your registration.

    Once you’ve entered your Unique ID, you will be asked to enter your email address. This will be used as your username. You will be emailed a code to verify the email address you’ve entered.

    You will then be prompted to create a 6 digit PIN and 12 digit Password that you will use to login. We recommend making a note of this information and keeping it in a safe place.

    That’s it, you’re done. You will then be taken back to the login screen where you can login using the details you’ve just created.

  • I haven’t received my authentication code, what shall I do?

    If you have registered for Bath Online but not received the Authentication Code to your mobile phone, please contact our customer service team who will be happy to help you.

  • What should I do if I don’t receive an email with my Unique ID?

    If you haven’t received a Unique ID by email, please contact our customer support team who will be happy to help you.

  • What transactions can I carry out on Bath Online?

    Once your account/s are registered for Bath Online you will be able to:

    • Transfer funds between your Bath Building Society accounts
    • Transfer to a nominated Bank account (minimum transaction amount is £50 within Bath Online)
  • How far back can I view my transactions on Bath Online?

    You are able to view the last 50 transactions on your account via Bath Online.

  • How do I login and use Bath Online to manage my accounts?

    Enter the email address you used to register with Bath Online. You will then be asked to enter three random characters from your PIN and Password.

    Don’t forget you will need your mobile phone handy as you will be prompted to set up two factor authentication to verify your login with the code we send you. (See ‘what to do if you have forgotten your password’ below if you can’t remember it!).

     

  • I am a Power of Attorney for a Bath Building Society account holder. How do I register to manage the account online?

    As a Power of Attorney you can use Bath Online to manage the account on behalf of the Account Holder.

    To do this you should register using your own name and contact details alongside the account number (see How Do I Register To View My Accounts Online? above).

    You cannot login using the Account Holder’s details.

  • What to do if you’ve forgotten your password

    If you can’t remember your password, don’t worry.  Go to the Bath Online login page and follow theses steps:

    • Select ‘Forgot PIN/password?’
    • Enter your personal details including your account number and the mobile number you used to register with us
    • You will then be sent your unique ID again to enter. This will be the same as the previous Unique ID you were sent when initially registering
    • Reset your PIN and password. We strongly recommend making a note of this information and keeping it in a safe place or online password vault
    • Login using your new credentials
