Why did you apply to work at Bath Building Society?
The Society provides a large selection of niche mortgage products from buy for university to retirement interest only and these specialist products interested me.
How has your career developed since you’ve worked at the Society?
Since starting my career here, I completed my CeMap qualification and was promoted to Mortgage Advisor. I now also manage our product transfer business, helping members choose new mortgage deals when their current rate ends. I’m also studying for my CeRER certification that is funded by the Society.
What does a good day look like in your role?
A good day in my role as a Mortgage Advisor involves helping customers find the perfect mortgage deal tailored to their needs, whether it’s a new application or assisting with renewals as customers approach the end of their current rate.
What’s the best thing about working for Bath Building Society?
I think the best thing about working for the Society is the chance to make a meaningful impact by helping customers achieve their homeownership dreams through personalised, flexible solutions.
How would you describe the culture?
The culture is supportive, collaborative and deeply customer focused, with a strong emphasis on integrity and teamwork.
What does your role involve?
My role involves helping customers find tailored mortgage solutions, guiding them through the application process from start to finish. I also handle telephone consultations, providing advice and support to new and existing customers.
What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?
My biggest achievement at Bath Building Society has been progressing to the role of Mortgage Advisor.
